Competitive Trail Riding Series

Riders of the Purple Sage, a local trail riding group is staging a series of four competitive trail rides in Dona Ana County! These Challenges will be held the second Saturday of each month now through February 2010. Prizes to winners in two categories, Adult and Junior Rider. Rides are 3 to 6 miles, judged on negotiation of obstacles.

The February Competitive Trail Challenge will be held on February 13th at Shining Heart Farm (Pat Buls’ Place) in Radium Springs, north of Las Cruces.  The Challenge will start at NOON with trail obstacles in the arena and then ride out on the trail for about a six mile loop.  If you are coming from out of town I have room to keep your horse overnight, for an additional $10.
