2 Year Old AQHA Apendix Gelding

Lightning is a 2 year old AQHA Appendix gelding.  He has been started gently under saddle by Pat Buls, The Gentle Tamer.  He stands 15.3 hands, and has the mind, the conformation and the athletic potential to be a hunter.  He was bred by New Mexico State University and is by JACKSBORO, a grandson of MR. PROSPECTOR (Thoroughbred), who sired many of today’s most successful jumpers and eventers.  Jacksboro’s other grandsire was DASH FOR CASH, winner of the All American Futurity.  Lightning’s dam, Lay Lady Lei is by PAA LEI, by EASY JET and her dam’s sire was BLADE (TB).

This colt is as relaxed and easy-going as they get, has good ground manners, and has the looks of a champion with a gorgeous, small head and a big engine!  He is sound and ready to start some serious training.  He trailers well and has been ridden out on the trail.  He is comfortable to ride — a lovely, elegant mover!
